Saamoohik Vivaah Sohla: Celebrating Love with DignityIn rural India, the joy of a daughter’s wedding often carries with it the silent weight of financial burden. For farmers and daily wage earners, arranging a marriage is not just about rituals; it can mean years of savings, debts, and sacrifices. At Vikram Tea, we recognized this struggle and asked ourselves, "How can we make these moments easier yet more meaningful for our farming families?
Thus was born Saamoohik Vivaah Sohla, a collective wedding initiative that redefines the way communities celebrate marriage. In a grand ceremony, dozens of couples unite, with every detail, from attire to rituals, from meals to blessings, lovingly taken care of.
Over the years, more than 450 couples have tied the knot under this initiative. For the brides and grooms, the day becomes more than a wedding; it is a celebration of dignity. For their parents, it is relief from financial stress, and for the community, it is a reaffirmation of solidarity.
Every bride who walks with confidence, every groom who smiles with pride, and every parent who breathes easier because they did not fall into debt—these are the true blessings we receive. Saamoohik Vivaah Sohla is not about numbers; it is about turning one of life’s most precious milestones into a shared joy story, where love is celebrated without compromise.
